Here I sit all broken hearted, had to poop but only farted.

Wow, man has it been forever since MY our last post. Finals were crazy and then after finals I spent all of my time working on my thesis revisions. But that is done and here I am sitting all “broken hearted”, not having to poop, but writing my posts finally getting started.

*Bill Murray does not approve of my attempt at "potty" humor*

Anyways, I have written down so many ideas for future posts that will be coming soon, some of the topics include weddings, creepy fb habits, face palm moments, and the biebs. But that’s in the future, not now, so STOP thinking about it. Well you can think of it for a little bit longer. I wanted to write about the biebs for my first post back but something else caught my eye. After cruising my favorite website theChive, I saw this gif from the TV show Seinfeld:

*And yet the I can only hear him saying, "How you dooin". Like Joey from Friends*

And that totally got me thinking, dude our blog is JUST like Seinfeld. Now for all you youngn’s out there who don’t know what Seinfeld is, don’t ask me, cuz I only caught the tail end of it, like when re-runs were shown on late night television, kind of like how you older teens catch MTV’s “Rob & Big” on late night. It’s still around but not really. But here’s the summary line of the show from wikipedia:

Seinfeld is an American television sitcom that originally aired on NBC from July 5, 1989, to May 14, 1998, lasting nine seasons, and is now in syndication. It was created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, the latter starring as a fictionalized version of himself. Set predominantly in an apartment block on Manhattan’s Upper West Side (but shot in Los Angeles)

*Mind = Blown*

So I never really watched Seinfeld in it’s hayday, but I do remember one particular scene that was remarkably funny and described our blog perfectly.

So that’s what this blog is. It’s a blog about nothing. Which I’m ok with. I think it’s fun. I mean so far I’ve talked about traffic, about my friend Brian, how much my kids will hate me, etc. Then after I came up with my Seinfeld comparison, I started thinking about the other blogs I read in my life and which TV shows they would be similar two. And really I only read two blogs simply because I only have time for two and they both make me laugh hysterically:

  1. Eemjehwahn - Now a few observations about this blog, I have no idea what that eemjehwahn thing means, most likely some sort of Korean, as the handsome and single (hint hint ladies) author is Korean. But also his about me page is also kind of depressing, mostly because it’s empty and has that model wordpress stuff. Where as ours is B.A. (Bad awesome!). As far as TV shows go, I liken Eemjehwahn to the Office.

*I get such a cringing feeling when I watch this*

One thing I’ve always said I’ve been jealous of regarding Eemjenwahn was his ability to tell engaging stories. And focus on the word engaging. His stories are so funny and they are set up beautifully with just the right amount of unnecessary descriptions, cringingly embarrassing moments, and self directed criticism. But in addition to the main stories, he’s also able to do some wonderful sidebar jokes, just like the office does during their individual character interviews spread throughout the show. See on our blog, we rarely link stories across posts or even tell “stories” or write anything worth reading for that fact.

  2. theChive – The Chive is a random photo blog website. I call it my reddit light. This way I don’t have to read like 3 million comments. But they post up funny photos, videos, and gifs. I liken theChive to the show Tosh.0

    *Kinda of gross*

Tosh.0 if you haven’t seen it is just a bunch of viral videos taken off the internet and then put on TV. I guess it cuts down on the need to pay writers. The sole reason I watch Tosh.0 is it keeps me in the loop with all the viral videos which apparently 9 million people have seen except for me. I ono how these videos get past my awesome internet prowess. But what’s funny is I heard one of my roommates say that he hates the show ridiculousness with Rob Dyrdek cause it’s a ripoff of Tosh.0. I like Rob Dyrdek’s fantasy factory but not Ridiculousness cuz he tries to hard on that show, but what’s funny is that Tosh.0 is a rip off of the the Soup. The one issue with the soup was that it was on E!. no self respecting person who’s trying to reach the 18-24 demographic would be on E!.

And that concludes the blogs I read mostly cuz I’m too lazy to write any more. Until next time!
